SubDrive system installed at Warialda Hospital
The Warialda hospital in North West NSW has had a major upgrade which included new buildings, rainwater harvesting, landscaping and a bore for irrigation and outside watering.
The bore is around 30m deep and the systems required around 300 KPA at a flow of 1.5 LPS. A SubDrive 75- 100-55 suited the application perfectly and was specified and installed by FE Dealer McGregors Rural Services in Warialda.
The system was commissioned in March. Commissioning was conducted by Mark Abra from McGregors The system is working well and was easy to install and SubDrive commissioning is so straight forward Mark said.

Lismore Square Shopping Centre installation
Sidney & Hacking, well-known commercial plumbing company in Lismore made contact with Mathew McNamara of Maccas Pump Services who in turn called Franklin’s Area Sales manager for Northern NSW Lou Hietbrink to discuss the site and make recommendations.
The project required a fully automatic pump system be installed to provide harvested rainwater on demand to all toilets and hand basins in the shopping complex.
The rainwater is stored in four 22,500 Litre poly tanks that are located in the undercover car park that can be prone to flooding. The contractor was not in favour of an elevated pump requiring a 3.5 M suction lift due to priming issues, so the best solution was the Subdrive 75 100-55 system that ticked all the specification boxes.
The system has been working successfully for several months and runs virtually nonstop during opening hours.

GA in Kingaroy installs a system with 3 separate duties
This is an installation featuring a model FPS FT series 12” pump model: 300FT12 – 2C 12” cast iron submersible pump fitted with a Franklin 8” 75 kW standard motor.
The system is controlled by a Franklin CP3 controller featuring a Variable Frequency Drive and is used for three separate duties. The main duty is to operate a Centre Pivot for irrigation, followed by water harvesting from the local river and flood irrigation through fluming. The owners were impressed that they could achieve all three duties with their new system and are extremely happy with it’s ease of operation.
This system was sold by BGA in Kingaroy and commissioned by Franklin’s Northern Tech Service Manager Glenn Miller in person. Happy people all round.

On hearing of this, Franklin MD Peter Richardson said "not a problem, glad that we can help the community rebuild and we will donate the SubDrive for the kids” Area Sales Manager Paul Bishop quickly confirmed to Fritz our support with WD installing the SubDrive at no cost to the club.A great team effort all round. Pictured here are some of the members of the Motorcross School showing their appreciation of what Water Dynamics and Franklin Electric has done to help the Goondiwindi community.

SubDrive 300 installed at Treloar Rose Farm
When the original Pomona Turbine Pump failed at the Treloar Rose Farm recently, Trent Trelour contacted Mel and Barry Bartlett at Portland Water Supply Engineers (Authorised Franklin Dealer) and Mel decided to install a Franklin SubDrive 300 constant pressure system with a 3.7 kW 4” Stainless Steel pump into the existing 6” well casing.
The SubDrive 300 was available ex-stock while a replacement pump would have been 4-6 weeks to assemble and deliver.
Commissioning the SubDrive 300 quickly resulted in even greater flow rates than estimated thus enabling the irrigation lines to be fed from the bore avoiding any rose stock losses.
Not only was this installation a significant saving over the cost of replacing the turbine, the SubDrive 300 operating as a constant pressure system was able to provide a live source of pressurized water for a Fire Hose Reel. The new system was not only much more energy efficient than the old diesel engine it was also much quieter. PWSE has since sold and installed many more SubDrive units throughout the region. Mel loves them.
